These are the terms and conditions of use set forth by the leaders of “Canadian Thyroid Patients Campaign.”
Information and advocacy purposes only
The information contained within this website and our social media outlets is for general information purposes and system-wide advocacy purposes.
Our campaign seeks to achieve evidence-based improvements in thyroid therapy guidelines, policies and procedures at a large scale: across regions, provinces and Canada-wide, and on an international scale.
Not health care advice
The campaign does not give any advice at an individual, case-by-case level.
Consequently, the information on this website cannot be considered as medical advice to any single person. We regret that we cannot offer medical advice or respond to individual health concerns.
For individual treatment or diagnosis, consult your health care professional.
For individual peer support and tips from fellow thyroid patients, we recommend the “Canadian Thyroid Support Group” and the online health forum called “Heath Unlocked.”
We do NOT monetize our campaign by placing advertisements.
We do NOT sell health care products such as dietary supplements or medical devices.
We are NOT affiliated with or sponsored by any pharmaceutical company whatsoever. However, we may communicate or liaise with manufacturers from time to time regarding our concerns about manufacturing, pricing, shortages, distribution, and the information disclosed in product monographs.
We are NOT affiliated with any professional body such as medical associations. However, we may from time to time informally collaborate, advise or consult with them regarding their thyroid therapy publications, guidelines and policies.
We are NOT affiliated with particular doctors or clinics. However, we may from time to time engage in advocacy to support doctors or clinics who are under attack for providing safe and evidence-based thyroid care. We may also from time to time invite guest posts from doctors.
We are NOT formally affiliated with any other thyroid patient groups or thyroid associations at this time, only with the Canadian Thyroid Support Group on Facebook. However, we may from time to time informally collaborate with other thyroid groups on short-term projects.
